KPL is a multi use site suitable for all energy sectors and the decommissioning market. All types of equipment can be trialled, constructed or decommissioned in low risk conditions within one of Europe’s largest Dry Docks. On site, there are established quarry and port facilities, shipping agency, stevedoring, cranage and transport facilities with self-discharge work vessels. All of the above also includes oil and gas, drilling rig life extension and upgrades and renewable projects.
The Dry Dock gates are 166m in length, one of the largest dry docks in Western Europe and there is up to 13.8m of water available at high tide. Due to its size, KPL can hold large floating structures for extensions, upgrades and decommissioning - making it one of the best sites in Europe within its field in terms of capacity and for future requirements in the oil & gas industry, renewables and aquaculture.
All enquiries welcome.

Future Development Plans
KPL continues to progress with development plans for Kishorn Port, after its three year planning application was granted for the redevelopment of the site with full support from The Highland Council. Having planning permission already established is a tremendous open opportunity for potential developers who require a “shovel ready” site, and are looking to manufacture large concrete structures, facilitate the extension of life for large oil and gas structures or decommissioning.

Chart Datum
Chart Datum (CD) is a level set low enough to ensure that the tide rarely falls below it. The UK usually determines this as being approximately the level of Lowest Astronomical Tide. In effect, this is the minimum depth that can be achieved by a quayside or port entrance channel.
Vessel Dimensions
Length overall (LOA) means the maximum length of a vessel's hull when measured parallel to the waterline.
A ship’s beam refers to its width at the widest point, when measured at the ship's nominal waterline.
The draft of a ship's hull is the vertical distance between the waterline and the bottom of the hull (keel), which includes the thickness of the hull. The draft of a ship or boat signifies the minimum depth of water it can safely navigate.
